The Jackson Landscape Crew That Answers the Phone
Most landscapes in West Tennessee underperform for two reasons: they were planted without a plan, and the base wasn’t prepped right. We do the design first, we prep the soil and base properly, and we install plants and hardscape that hold up — not for one season, but for the decade you actually own the house.
Quotes are free and in writing. Call (731) 603-9094 or text us about what you want done.
What We Design, Build & Maintain
From a single bed refresh to a full master-planned property — landscape work that’s done right the first time.
Landscape Design in Jackson, TN
Real landscape design starts with the site, not the catalog. We measure your property, study sun and drainage, listen to how you use the yard, and come back with a to-scale plan that solves problems before they become installations. Plans that get built — not unrealistic wish-lists.
Sod, shrubs, perennials, and trees installed with proper site prep, soil amendment, hole sizing, and watering — the boring details that determine whether your landscape looks great in three years or has to be redone. We do beds, foundation plantings, screening hedges, and replacement work.
Paver patios, flagstone walks, segmental and natural-stone retaining walls, fire pits, and outdoor kitchens built on proper base prep. We excavate to depth, compact gravel base in lifts, screed bedding sand, and lay surfaces that stay flat for decades. Drainage planned in, not added later.
Annual mulch refresh, new bed cutting and installation, crisp edging, pre-emergent weed control. The cheapest landscape upgrade that makes the biggest visual difference. We deliver and spread (not dump in the driveway) using hardwood, pine straw, dyed mulch, or cypress depending on the look you want.
Structural pruning for young trees, seasonal shaping for shrubs, dead/diseased limb removal, planting of 1.5″–3″ caliper trees and shrubs. Removal of small to medium trees in-house; larger trees referred to a certified arborist partner. Stump grinding 4–6 inches below grade.
Full sprinkler systems with proper zoning and head-to-head coverage, smart weather-aware controllers, drip irrigation for beds, and code-compliant backflow prevention. Drainage side: French drains, surface drains, downspout tie-ins. Most Jackson yards need both.
Recurring maintenance contracts for HOAs, multi-family, office parks, retail centers, and banks. Mowing, bed maintenance, seasonal color rotations, tree care, irrigation management, and snow/ice events. COI on file, prevailing-wage capable, net-30 invoicing for established accounts.
We measure, study the site, and put a plan on paper before any plant goes in or any stone is laid. The work fits the property because we figured out the property first.
Locally Owned, Jackson Based
We live and work in Jackson. When something needs attention in three years, you call us and we come. Not an out-of-town aggregator that drives off after install.
Hardscape on a Real Base
Patios stay flat and walls stay vertical because the base was excavated to depth, compacted in lifts, and drained behind. We don’t skip the boring part — it’s the part that determines longevity.
Drainage Solved First
Jackson clay holds water. We grade beds, install French drains where they’re needed, and route downspouts away from foundations. Pretty landscapes that don’t drain are landscapes you’ll replace in five years.
Written Quotes Before the Job
Itemized scope, material grades, square footage, plant lists. Everything in writing before any work starts. No “ran into extras” surprises.
Right Plant, Right Place
We design with Zone 7b plants that actually thrive in West Tennessee — native and adapted species, with seasonal interest year-round. Less “collection of pretty things”, more “system that holds together.”
What Jackson Homeowners Say
“The whole front yard was bare clay after construction. They graded it, amended the soil, laid sod, planted the beds, and added a paver walkway. Two years in and everything looks like it’s always been there.”
— North Jackson homeowner
“Had a real drainage problem in the back — pooled after every storm. They installed a French drain that solved it, then designed a patio over what used to be the soggy spot. Smartest landscape money we’ve spent.”
— West Jackson homeowner
“We just needed mulch refresh and bed edges cleaned up for spring. They came out, did clean work, didn’t try to upsell us on a master plan. Will use them again.”
— South Jackson homeowner
Service Areas in & Around Jackson
Landscape design, installation, and maintenance throughout the Jackson metro and Madison County.
When’s the best time to install sod or plant in Jackson?
Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) are the prime windows. Fall is actually the best time for trees and shrubs — roots establish through winter ahead of next summer’s heat. Summer installs are fine with diligent watering. Winter is the time for hardscape work and design planning.
Do you do small jobs or only big projects?
Both. A single bed refresh, a small mulch job, or a one-time tree pruning is fine. We don’t have minimums that price out the small work. Bigger projects (master plans, large hardscape, full-property installs) we do too.
How long does a landscape design take?
Small-scope designs (one bed, mailbox refresh, foundation planting): about a week from site visit to plan. Whole-property master plans: 2–4 weeks. We do the site visit, sketch concepts, and finalize after one round of feedback.
Can you fix drainage problems before doing the landscape?
Yes — we usually have to. Putting a landscape over a drainage problem just means killing plants and rotting hardscape in five years. We grade, install French drains where needed, and reroute downspouts as part of the same project.
